Schedule a Consultation with TutorTrac

Responding to COVID-19 With Remote Tutoring

The University Writing Center provides assistance with any writing assignment or project you might have.

In response to the impact of COVID-19 at UCF,  the University Writing Center will offer all consultations online, via Zoom, a web-based teleconferencing software. We recommend that you download the Zoom application software and install it on your computer to attend meetings.

Consultations must be scheduled in advance, by appointment, through TutorTrac. Appointments must be scheduled at least 1 hour in advance. No walk-in consultations will be offered during this time.

To access Zoom, you will need the following:

  • An internet connection
  • The Zoom app, or the Google Chrome browser for audio capabilities
  • Speakers and a microphone
  • Access to your Knightsmail account, for all official communications from the UWC

While a webcam is highly recommended, you are not required to share video if you prefer not to, but you must have microphone/speaker capabilities.

If you make an appointment for a virtual consultation, instructions will be emailed to your Knightsmail regarding how to access your Zoom meeting. For questions, please email us at

Zoom meetings are best accessed by installing the Zoom application to your computer. If you choose to access your Zoom consultations via a web browser only such as Google Chrome, you are required to sign in with a Zoom account.

Please watch this video for more information on how to make Online appointments and join Zoom meetings:

Welcome to the University Writing Center’s TutorTrac online scheduler!

Click “Schedule a Consultation” below to access TutorTrac. TutorTrac works best in the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. An updated version of Java is also recommended. Using other browsers or older software versions may result in a “Page not found” or error message.

If you are using Google Chrome, you can also try to access the scheduler using the browser’s Incognito Mode.

If TutorTrac does not load on your computer, or if you encounter any technical difficulties, please email us at or you can contact us through Facebook Messenger at

To make our services available to all students, we limit appointments to one consultation per day, and up to three consultations every seven days.

  • Starting April 12, TutorTrac can now be accessed using your UCF Federated Identity credentials! After clicking the Schedule a Consulation link below, you will be taken to the UCF Federated Identity log-in page, and you can log-in using your NID and NID password credentials ― the same log-in credentials you use to log into other services like myUCF or Webcourses.
  • If you encounter an “Insufficient data passed (Code S2-A)” error when clicking initially, simply click the “Back” button on your browser and try the link again.
  • If you are having any difficulty with logging in, please call our office at 407-823-2197 during operating hours, or you can e-mail us at for assistance.
